CITY OF GREEN BAY Parking Maintenance Technician in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Performs maintenance and repair of Parking Division facilities and Parking Access Revenue Control System (PARCS) equipment including ticket spitters, gates, computerized cash registers, validators, transports, CPU boards, and controllers. Troubleshoots minor elevators issues; completes minor repairs on various small equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, weed eaters, and air compressors. Installs, replaces, and maintains parking meters in the shop and the field. Assists with the installation of specialized equipment. Performs routine cleaning and maintenance of parking areas, walkways, stairways elevators, windows, floors, walls, and ceilings of Parking Services facilities and office areas. Performs deck repairs at Parking Division facilities. Changes lightbulbs in elevators, stairs towers, and other Parking Utility facilities. Installs and maintains signs and clearance bars at the parking ramps. Completes line painting (striping) at all facilities. Performs Parking snow removal and ice control duties. Issues citations for parking violations based upon City ordinance, especially the overnight parking ordinance, posted signs, posted time zones, and vehicle permits. Gathers and enters vehicle requests into the computer. Performs duties to open and close facilities and assists with security. Assists other personnel with directing vehicular traffic, including placing and removing barricades, temporary sign, and meter hooding. Assists customers with the parking access and revenue control system. Assists the general public with various requests including vehicle lockouts and accident reports. Collects money from parking meters, fines from collection boxes and parking; makes bank deposits dependent upon shift assignment. Maintains inventory as needed; including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, loading and unloading inventory, delivery and pick up of items, and maintaining records. Prepares and maintains related records and reports. Serves as lead worker when supervisor is not on duty. Performs other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in security, custodial, maintenance, and repair of Parking Division equipment and facilities. Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
