          JOB TITLE: Patient Care Technician
          Purpose
          The Patient Care Technician provides basic patient care and services as specified under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. This includes patient care related as well as clerical duties of the Patient Care Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator.
          Responsibilities
          --Follows RN''s direction to complete the assigned patient care tasks according to established procedures
          --Gathers and documents data accurate to contribute to assessment of patient and to assure the integrity of the medical record.
          --Performs basic patient care assistant skills
          --Establishes a rapport with patients and families
          --Compliant with attendance policy
          --Maintains a clean orderly environment
          --Completes assigned unit duties and manages time effectively
          Qualifications
          --High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
          --American Heart Association CPR for the Health Care Provider certification required.
          --Current on the state of Wisconsin CNA registry of a nursing student with at least on completed adult clinical and currently enrolled in nursing school
          --Basic math and computer skills
          --One year of experience as a nursing assistant is preferred
          --Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
          --Graduate of a HUC program preferred
          --Excellent attendance history
