JOB REQUIREMENTS: Tetra Tech MA Inc., a subsidiary of Tetra Tech, is a multi-disciplinary firm dedicated to research and program evaluation with a staff of consulting environmental scientists and engineers. We are seeking a Principal Consultant to work primarily in the energy sector designing and providing evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) services that enable clients to make decisions about their energy efficiency programs. Principal Consultants are a senior level position, responsible for leading the execution of project deliverables within the agreed timeline and budget. Drawing upon the work and expertise of colleagues, the Principal Consultant will complete deliverables that provide clients a cohesive story that both inform and present realistic paths forward. Responsibilities include: - Support and/or lead both process and impact evaluations, by collaborating with Tetra Tech staff and/or subcontractors conducting a variety of evaluation and energy analyses throughout the United States in a team-oriented environment - Utilize the knowledge, experience, and project management skills in process evaluation and market research - Calculate, and/or verify energy and demand savings for a variety of energy efficiency or renewable energy programs may be expected - To stay abreast of research designs, demand response, energy efficiency, and other clean energy legislation and policy, and may contribute to industry papers and represent Tetra Tech at industry conferences - In addition to managing budgets, time, and reporting, Principal Consultants are responsible for managing positive and productive relationships with clients - Participate in company growth by identifying project expansion opportunities for the client, securing continued renewals in work and supporting the executive team in the development of proposals as needed Qualifications - Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in energy efficiency program evaluation, implementation, analysis, or consulting is required - Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts. Advanced degree is desirable. - Experience with research design, statistical and qualitative analysis of data, primary data collection, and knowledge of industry program management best practices are strongly preferred - Passion for working in energy efficiency and encouraging team success We thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
