JOB REQUIREMENTS: Summary of Role The Distribution Center Control Room Operator controls the operation of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS) in unity with the warehouse staff activity at the Distribution Center. Using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), monitors and records movement of product through the warehouse based on scheduled loading and receiving appointments. In addition, supports the WMS and hardware and the collecting and managing of data needed for Freight and Distribution related reports. This is a safety sensitive position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities oInterface with both WMS and AS/RS to control the flow of materials in support of work schedules. oStage orders to the pick-lane for order selectors. oEnsure orders are completed prior to loading, release trucks for loading. oIdentify and communicate exception conditions including shorted orders, cycle counts, releases, and status of orders. oCompare inbound receipts to WMS Receiving Verification Report. oUpdate data and status conditions in ERP relative to received and shipped orders. oTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to AS/RS, involving supervision and/or Maintenance personnel as needed. oAccurate and timely creation of DC metrics and labor management reports. oWMS hardware tracking, ordering and overall support Additional Duties and Responsibilities oMain contact for warehouse floor-staff when Supervisor is not available. oWork as a DC Operator as needed. oDaily clean-up of assigned area. oOther duties assigned by supervisor. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities oHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. oMinimum of 1 year of related Warehousing and Perishable Goods / Food Industry experience. oKnowledge of refrigerated / frozen warehousing best practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices preferred. oAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull objects up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment. oMust be able to perform physical work in a variety of positions and at various heights includes bending, stooping, reaching and twisting of arms and body movement and sitting for extended periods of time. oBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office software or comparable business applications. oAbility to work effectively and maintain deadlines with limited supervision. oCritical thinking and decision making skills oBasic math skills including arithmetic; ability to perform and interpret basic calculations related to count, weight, time, rate, and distance. oVerbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions and to clearly express ideas in a concise and professional manner. oEffective collaborative skills; must perform comfortably in group settings. oCapacity for stress in service-oriented environment. oTolerate a variety of temperatures conditions. oMust possess and maintain forklift operator certificate and material handling equipment. ***** APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: Apply Online:
